Okay, I usually don't blog, but here goes.....
I was watching television today, happened to catch a current Paula White broadcase.
Of course we can all tell that she has had plastic surgery, okay...no big deal I guess.

She began to talk about the benefits of tithing and offering---First Fruits. I was like, okay, sure, this is something that I needed to hear. But don't ya know it, within a matter of minutes she made a plea that "WE" would join HER to begin 2008 off right with our FIRST FRUITS.
Well, she never suggested that our First Fruits go to our own church. She wants people to sow their First Fruits into her ministry. Then she showed a testimony of someone who had given $100,000 as a First Fruit offering to her church.

This upsets me because, what we do is unto the Lord, not unto a televangelist. Even thru all of these issues, I have tried to not judge Paula White and the others in the media. Perhaps not wanting to really believe that they are taking peoples money.

I'm kindof without words. This really really bothers me. Who can you trust? It is clear to me now, that she is like the movie "Leap Of Faith", tell the people anything that will make them comfortable enough to give to your ministry.

Then I just read that T.D. Jakes has an earring in his ear!!!!! What?!?!?!! I'm not trying to drag them thru the mud, as I am clear that they are only "men", not Christ.
But my goodness, shouldn't we hold them to a hire standard?

I'm just at a loss with this whole thing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, just wanted to get some insight on a couple of things. Please give scriptures where appropriate.

1. Why do we bow our heads and close or eyes when we pray?

2. Is it wrong for women to alter their appearance by cutting their hair, wearing make-up, or earrings?

3. Is it wrong to have cosmetic surgery?

Okay, I am really shocked that no one has commented on this on here. I assume that the admins haven't posted this because it is such a big hit to the body of Christ, in my opinion.

My heart is still greiving over what has happened to the both of them. I just wanted to see what all of you thought. Have any of you given money to either ministry?

This just proves again, that we cannot put our trust/faith in man, they will always disappoint us. God is your only TRUE friend. We have to know His word for ourselves rather than watching a telecast. I'm not saying that watching Christian television is bad, I'm simply saying that it doesn't substitute getting into the word and having your own relationship with God.
