Zomba Gospel/QuietWater Recording Artist DeWayne Woods Embarks On First National Tour

 

25+ City Tour Includes Stops In New Orleans, Richmond, and St. Louis

(Washington, D.C.) – October 5, 2007 - Zomba/Quietwater artist DeWayne Woods has announced plans for a nationwide fall tour. Woods’ song “Let Go”, a powerful anthem of surrender, has been blaring from radio stations across the nation and has peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Singles chart. The Donald Lawrence and John P. Kee protégé released his debut project, “DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet”, to much acclaim. But it’s not just “Let Go” that has provided audiences with inspiration; it’s his awesome testimony of complete healing from HIV which has inspired people as well.

Having worked with artists such as Kurt Carr, Byron Cage, Karen Clark Sheard and Kirk Whalum, now the singer, songwriter, and actor is headlining his first tour, “The DeWayne Woods Tour” sponsored by Zomba Gospel, Ellis Verne Agency and World Vision. Woods is embarking on the 25+ city tour which starts in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, October 5^th and ends on November 18^th. The tour includes additional stops in cities such as New Orleans, LA, Savannah, GA, Richmond, VA, St. Louis, MO, and Buffalo, NY. During the tour, DeWayne will be conveying his faith-based story told on his debut album through song and dramatic interpretation.

By capitalizing on both the musical and dramatic talents of Min. Woods (along with his band, team of singers and special guests), concert participants will be treated to a presentation that defies the predictable structure of the touring gospel concert. The 90-minute musical experience, centered on music from the album, will allow the audience to easily follow the storyline and tap into the anointing of an incredible message of hope.
